Three Ancient Orders Working Together Over 900 Years of
Inspiration
Three Knightly Orders Inspired by Prince Alfred von
Habsburg-Hohenberg, Hereditary Grand Prior
Professional and business men and women helping preserve the
environment and uplifting the poor.
One of our Order’s greatest concerns is to help the
underprivileged and to preserve the environment.
Therefore the priors, Sir Joe Cox,
Sir Davis Roher, Sir Gary Scott, the Ladies and Knights of these orders feel
honored to carry on the work started by Prince Alfred von Habsburg-Hohenberg
through three knightly orders.

Ordo Sancti Joannis Hospitalis (Defenders of Health)

Ordo Sancti
Georgii-Order of Saint George (Defenders of the
Environment)
Emperor Maximilian I (House of Habsburg) who joined the Order
on October 28, 1494 transferred ownership of the monastery/castle Landscron in
Millstatt near Villach, Austria, to the Order. Landscron was first mentioned in
a document dated July 25, 1351 when Duke Albrecht II (House of Habsburg) became
the owner. Duke Albrecht II enlarged and renewed part of the fortress and added
a number of rooms to house his collection of weapons and armor.
When Sultan Suleiman's armies besieged the City of Vienna on
October 1, 1529 the knights of the Order of Saint George took an active part in
breaking the siege together with the knights of the Order of St. John. This
action prompted Emperor Karl V (House of Habsburg) to transfer the ownership of
the Island of Malta to the Order of St. John. Since 1530, the knights of St.
John are also known as the Knights of Malta.
Both Orders continued to defend the borders of the empire and
when not fighting, performed charitable work.
On January 19, 1965, the Order was
re-organized by H.M. King Peter II of Yugoslavia with Felix Count von Luckner
(Honorary Grand Prior) and Prince Alfred von Habsburg-Hohenberg, Hereditary
Grand Prior.
Emerging from this history our three orders are now united
under Prince Alfred and work together for three goals.
A
hotel has been been purchased now to be used as a meeting place for educational
and healing purposes.
We have developed healing tours for Western doctors, dentists
and health care providers to visit and provide free assistance to impoverished
communities and provide healing programs.
LOTS has very low administrative costs. Practically all work is
donated by members of our three knightly orders or benefactors of LOTS so
virtually all the money received goes to support these activities.
The roots of all institutions are never more than their goals
or ideals. We feel good about ours and are looking for the few who would share
this responsibility with us.
